1908 − The Wright brothers demonstrate a two-passenger airplane in Europe and America. In September 1908 Wilbur Wright stayed in the air over Le Mans, France for 1 hr 31 min. The flight covered 61 miles. On December 31, 1908 Wilbur Wright covered a distance of 77½ miles in 2 hr 20 min, setting a world endurance record.
